The best places to go on spring break
Early spring (almost). Temperatures are finally warming up (almost). This means one thing. Spring Break.
With the brief, but needed, departure from classes, students are looking for something affordable, spontaneous, and... naturally, crazy.
We have used that criteria along with our expert opinion and vacationer sentiment to identify the cities below as ideal for student revelers. Let’s have a look at what each of them has in store for the typical adventurer these next few weeks.
Miami, Florida
There is a reason why Miami is considered a global melting pot. Here, multicultural beauty meets the subtropical beach. Miami is worshipped for its sights, flavors and sounds that create the perfect rhythm for a spring break getaway.
Kick back on a daybed in the sand for a quintessential South Beach experience or grab a table Nikki Beach's Sunday brunch party or at the W's pool party.
On South Beach, you can groove to the rare sounds of a live saxophone or the beats of the resident DJ. But if you don’t feel like dancing yourself, let the costumed dancers at LIV or Story keep the party festive for your eyes.
Panama City, Florida
This Florida haven boasts of 27 miles of sandy beaches stretching along the Gulf of Mexico. I wouldn’t imagine a better destination. It’s no surprise Panama City Beach is worshiped by nearly all sun lovers.
Students crave to return here. And once you visit, you’ll join the congregation. Pool parties, beach parties, whatever your wildest imaginations can offer, you will see here.
We recommend the Sandpiper Beacon Resort for suites that can sleep up to 10. Just make sure you arrive in shape in case you get pulled into one of the daily bikini contests throughout your stay.
Las Vegas, Nevada
In Las Vegas, there is only place to stay during Spring Break, and that's on the Strip. On this this 3.5 mile-long stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard you get well over 20 of the world's largest casino-resorts. That means that there are nearly 70,000 hotel rooms filled with like minded people, all looking to have a good time. After all, it is Vegas... what can possibly go wrong (or right?)?
Our favorite, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
Enjoy the sands and hidden coves you can find only in Puerto Vallarta. Lose yourself into happy hour specials while the sun sets. For night owls, Puerto Vallarta has an abundance of vibrant clubs, bars, and beach parties where you can let loose.
Dominican Republic
For a spring break destination where beauty comes true in a tropical setting; where you can forget everything else going on back home; consider Punta Cana of the Dominican Republic. Take the night by storm with StudentCity with exclusive party packages for every college student looking for some adventure.
